Special task jewelry: Body Chains

You won't find any weak links in these chains. It's jewelry for special tasks. Discreetly inspired by historical costume, regalia and symbols of power, it breaks the beaten pattern of single-function ornaments. The ring is a ring - its place is the finger, just as the place of the earring is the ear. What about Body Chains? Here, the matter is completely different... Chunky links joined together with perfect precision, form metallic cords integrated together like cobwebs of industrial insects. They were created with the whole body and its three-dimensional form in mind. ORSKA chains should be treated in two...

100% for the sea. ORSKA initiative to support MARE Foundation

In ORSKA, we appreciate the work of everyone who devotes their time to taking care of our common home. That is why every year we support important initiatives and organizations that try to solve the most pressing contemporary problems. So far, among others, we have cooperated with Greenpeace and Tatra National Park, to which we have donated (and will continue to donate) part of the proceeds from the sale of brooches and earrings in the shape of Miłosna górska (Adenostyles alliariae), a characteristic plant of the Polish mountains. You will find these jewellery items in the Plantis collection. The main...

What will we leave behind for the anthropologists of the future?

In the creative process, one of the most important stages is the proper selection of material and technology. Faced with the dilemma of whether we should extract or mine the necessary raw material, produce it or use what we already have available, the decision seems obvious. But it is not obvious. Anna Orska, known for her love of experimenting and reaching for custom, non-standard components in jewellery, has decided to take a stand in the discussion that revolves around one of the most important problems of our times - overproduction of plastic. The realm of plastics entered our reality with...

International Ocean Day as interpreted by ORSKA

June 8 is the World Oceans Day, which reminds us how important a strong and healthy ecosystem of the Big Blue is. Everything that goes into the water ultimately comes back to us. And it was using products made by people and thrown out by the sea that the paintings made by Krzysztof Dąbrowski were created with. The mesmerizing shade of blue (the so-called Prussian blue) was obtained using the cyanotype technique, which utilizes the photosensitivity of iron salts. The series of works, on which the Maris collection has been presented, reminds us that rubbish, plenty of which can be...

ORSKA jewellery in the latest music video of the Austrian-French duo Lomboy

Founded in 2014, the band used ORSKA jewellery in a music video to the song titled Friend's Romance. The script was written by the lead singer and the video was directed by Mateusz Białęcki. The action takes place in Japan presented in dreamlike fashion. The Parisian dancers, whose choreography can be admired in the music video, use body movements to describe a love story in which close lovers become enemies. It is a piece about jealousy and cheating on your partner, which encourages a potential romance lasting only in the lovers' heads. The song is not written from one perspective...
