The Microcosm up close
With jeweller’s precision and the help of tiny watchmaker’s screws, we’ve recreated the microcosm of meadows and gardens. It’s a world where colourful flowers grow — not soft and romantic, but geometric and precise, like origami. Among poppies, forget-me-nots and chamomiles, life pulses: a firefly flickers, a grasshopper plays its tune, a cross orb-weaver spider spins its web, and the mighty stag beetle rests in the shade. The Plantis jewellery collection tells the story of a small, nearly invisible world unfolding right beneath our feet — and of its inhabitants, who don’t seek admiration, but simply go about their quiet work. Here, nature isn’t placed in a vase — it’s worn on the body and blooms all year round.
Plantis
The Plantis jewelry collection is iconic for the ORSKA brand. The colorful flowers that bloom within it are not soft and romantic but geometric and precise—like origami. Among the poppies, forget-me-nots, and pansies assembled with watchmaker’s screws, insects have made their home: photogenic ladybugs, chirping grasshoppers, helpful bark beetles, centipedes, stag beetles, and the often-unappreciated cross spiders. And many more! Each piece is a unique story—told through antennae, wings, and intricate details that invite hours of admiration. Their metallic-colored shells and handcrafted designs draw the eye.
The intricate construction of the insects encourages close observation and helps us see these creatures in a new, more sympathetic light. After all, how could you not love hardworking ants or lovestruck fireflies?
Plantis celebrates the extraordinary hidden in the small. It was created for those who look closer and see more. In designing it, Anna Orska carefully explored the silent, miniature, and surprisingly complex microcosm of insects. She brought these often-overlooked creatures into the spotlight. Seen up close, they reveal a whole new dimension of beauty—raw, delicate, and architectural. It’s a tribute to detail, which so often goes unnoticed. A new way of looking at the world. Up close. Slowly. With mindfulness.
Insect Symbolism – Ladybug Jewelry
The ladybug is a symbol of luck, protection, and renewal. In many cultures, its appearance signals good news or the fulfillment of a wish. Its intense color not only wards off predators but also grabs attention—it’s like a sign: something good is happening here. A ladybug pin makes a perfect gift for nature or gardening enthusiasts—after all, the ladybug is a natural “garden hero.” It’s ideal for someone who loves plants, flowers, and living in harmony with nature. It can also serve as a talisman for anyone you wish well—both a classic symbol of luck and a universal gift.
Insect Symbolism – Ant Jewelry
The ant has long symbolized diligence, perseverance, and the strength of community. It embodies patient action, where purpose and consistency matter more than fame. Though small, it represents great power—it can carry loads many times its own size. In cultural symbolism, the ant reminds us that true strength lies in daily effort, loyalty, and wise cooperation. It is the spirit of order, system, and quiet heroism. As a symbol of loyalty and togetherness, ant-themed jewelry makes an excellent gift from a teammate, sibling, or close friend—someone who’s always right there with you in the “ant hill of life.”
Insect Symbolism – Grasshopper Jewelry
The grasshopper symbolizes lightness, freedom, and the courage to leap into the unknown. It is a spirit of nature that embraces change—it can pause in stillness, then spring forward in a burst of motion. In many cultures, it is seen as a sign of intuition, creativity, and living in tune with one’s rhythm. It doesn’t walk—it jumps—trusting the impulse of the moment. The grasshopper reminds us that sometimes, to move forward, we must take a leap. Grasshopper jewelry is a gift as light as a summer hop through tall grass—perfect for those who embody freedom, energy, and a touch of wildness. If someone writes, sings, paints, or simply has their head in the clouds, this is their jewelry spirit totem.
Insect Symbolism – Mosquito Jewelry
The mosquito carries deeper meaning—it represents persistence, instinct, and tenacity. In nature, it reminds us of balance—that even the smallest beings have a role in the ecosystem. Symbolically, it can represent something irritating but impossible to ignore—like a thought that demands your attention. Mosquito jewelry is a bold, cheeky, and truly unique choice—ideal for people who aren't afraid to stand out and who laugh at convention. A mosquito pin is also perfect for someone who’s unforgettable. A mosquito may be small, but it leaves a mark—just like that person.
Insect Symbolism – Moth Jewelry
The moth symbolizes mystery, intuition, and inner light. Though it lives in shadow, it constantly seeks brightness—even if the glow is illusory. In culture, it represents the soul’s search for meaning, transformation, and rebirth. Its delicate, almost transparent wings tell a story of fragility and bravery at once. The moth teaches that what is quiet and hidden can be just as beautiful and meaningful as what is loud and bright. Moth jewelry suits those who think deeply after dark, who love evening hours, stars, dreamy conversations, and midnight tea. It’s also a meaningful gift for those who follow their intuition—even into the fire. Moth jewelry can be a talisman for those who take risks and live authentically.
The Symbolism of Flowers in Jewelry
Every flower carries symbolic meaning! By using the widely recognized values associated with each plant, we can create a nonverbal language. Deep emotion, joy, devotion, or care can all be expressed through specific flower types—or even colors. These same values are embedded in the Plantis collection. Every brooch, necklace, or pair of earrings with a floral motif conveys emotion.
Symbolism of flowers enclosed in jewelry
Every flower has a symbolic meaning! Using the commonly known values that a plant metaphorically represents, we can create a non-verbal language. Deep affection, joy, devotion, or care can be expressed with the help of different species and even their colors. Flowers with symbolic meaning can be found in the jewelry from the Plantis collection. Each brooch, necklace, or earrings with a floral design expresses various emotions.
Symbolism of flowers - jewelry with chamomile
Chamomile is particularly known for its medicinal properties. However, there are many more reasons why it deserves attention. This modest representative of herbs is not only healthy, natural and charming, but also approachable and unpretentious. Doesn't that sound like perfection? Although the list of compliments to this ordinary plant with extraordinary power is difficult to exhaust, it often does not receive due recognition for its charm. And yet it is possible to be good and beautiful at the same time! Chamomile jewelry is a well-deserved nod to the charming nature of the main character of summer landscapes. White flowers with yellow centers, gazing at the sun from meadows and pastures, look like its small reflections. Many are well aware of the soothing properties of such blissful scenery. To spread the relaxing qualities of this joyful setting around you, just wear the chamomile earrings, floral pin or necklace with white flower. However, chamomile is more than beauty and health. In Slavic tradition, it also symbolizes true love and bonding. Therefore, accessories with this motif will be perfect as wedding jewelry, as well as a symbolic gift for loved ones. The meaning of chamomile will perfectly emphasize the nature of the occasion.
Symbolism of flowers - jewelry with daffodils
As the world wakes up from the winter aura, it gives us small boosts of optimism in the form of the first spring flowers, with daffodils at the forefront. In the ORSKA atelier, they were turned into striking pins that spread spring energy all year round. The handmade yellow flowers herald change. They are a symbol of renewal, inspiration and vitality. In nature, their color, which is associated with joy and energy, also attracts attention. This mixture of joy and optimism, after long months full of gray and winter temperatures, evokes only good emotions. The daffodil pin can be proudly worn by any self-proclaimed ambassador of spring. It is an order that does not need to be awarded.
Symbolism of flowers - jewelry with forget-me-nots
The small blue flowers decorate meadows and forests. Wild specimens are under protection, but this delicate plant is a frequent visitor to home gardens. In the wild, this spring plant blooms from April to May, but at ORSKA you can enjoy its charm for the whole twelve months! Forget-me-nots have a wide symbolic meaning. The silent request contained in their name means that a bouquet of blue flowers was often given before a long parting, such as a long journey. Necklace with forget-me-nots or a brooch with forget-me-nots will be a wonderful gift for people who are very important to us and we want to assure them that they will always remain in our memory. Jewelry with forget-me-nots is also a good talisman for people who are constantly in a hurry, have their head in the clouds, who need to be brought down to earth discreetly.
Symbolism of flowers - jewelry with poppies
We can't imagine summer without poppies! Enchanted by the deep red color of poppy petals, we decided to create a jewelry version of the popular flower that will please the eyes and hearts for more than one season. This is how poppy pins and earrings joined the Plantis collection. This flower can be found in ancient beliefs and biblical parables, where it is a metaphor for ephemeral life. In Slavic tradition, it was a symbol of fertility, and it allowed people to cross the boundary between life and death. The poppy commonly symbolizes imagination and pleasure. Jewelry with poppies will be a tasteful addition to the style of those who love art and live by the maxim of carpe diem. The poppy pin can also be a must-have accessory during Memorial Day celebrations. In Anglo-Saxon countries it is worn as a sign of respect for those who died in service to the country, but in Poland it is also worn in memory of our ancestors.
Symbolism of flowers - jewelry with cherry blossom
The cherry blossom is a symbol of natural beauty, delicacy, and subtlety. The small size of the cherry blossom earrings by Anna Orska emphasizes the significance of this flower. Jewelry with a cherry blossom is a good gift idea for a friend, sister, or other close woman, as it is also a metaphor for love. In Japanese culture, the cherry blossom is an exemplification of the cycle of human life: birth, growth, and death. The cherry blossom jewelry, worn regularly, can therefore remind you to see joy and beauty in every moment.
Symbolism of flowers - jewelry in the shape of a pansy
Pansies are a symbol of family ties and brotherly love. They also function as a metaphor for loyalty and devotion. According to legend, two brothers living at distant ends of the earth used them to communicate. The distance did not separate them - the siblings cared for each other and sent signals to each other using these subtle flowers. The Plantis collection features pansy-shaped pins and earrings. Colorful jewelry in the form of a pansy given to a loved one can be a declaration of support and a symbol of care. Pins and earrings with pansies given to siblings, family, or friends will remind of the feelings you have for each other, regardless of the distance separating you.
Symbolism of flowers - jewelry in the shape of a windflower
The beauty of this flower delighted poets and writers to such an extent that the anemone became the hero of several literary texts. It was believed that the white petals of the anemone bring good luck and protect from evil, so it was treated as a talisman to ward off evil forces. Jewelry in the shape of an anemone is an enduring symbol of honesty and love, which is ready for any sacrifice. In the Plantis collection, the anemone blooms in the form of pins and earrings.
Fern symbolism - jewelry with ferns
The Plantis collection features the entire ecosystem - insects, flowers, leaves, and ferns among them. The unusual but often underestimated plant, for centuries has been endowed with fascination, rich symbolism and belief in its magical power. Fern protects from evil forces, helps those who seek love, knowledge and purification. Fern has the power! It is worth making friends with ferns. Those in pots will have an excellent effect on the air in our homes and workplaces. Those in the form of jewelry talismans, such as earrings with ferns or a necklace with fern leaves, will diversify both daily and formal outfits, and beautifully manifest to others our love for what is natural, pure and timeless.
