The artistic spectacular earrings were designed during Anna Orska’s journey to Vietnam. The simple design complemented by elements of black Vietnamese lacquerware show the designer’s contemporary interpretation of traditional Southeast Asian art. The black elements were handcrafted by local artisans in Vietnam using a lacquer painting technique that dates back six thousand years. High gloss lacquered components were inlaid with bird and plant ornaments hand cut from mother of pearl. The earrings, despite their size, are surprisingly light thanks to the use of lacquer. The original design will be perfect as an addition to a flowing dress and a loose tunic.
