Volcano inspired jewelry - The LAVA collection

The Lava collection is inspired by the wild nature of a volcano, which for millennia has both fascinated and commanded respect. The calm, majestic mountain can turn into an untamed power in the blink of an eye, ejecting hundreds of tons of hot and almost liquid rock. Lava became the inspiration for the ORSKA men’s collection because it combines the elements of earth and fire, just as today’s men combine strength of character with strength of emotion. This symbolism is reflected in two completely different lines of jewelry: one - irregular, cast in silver, and the other - geometric, carved from brass.

Brass signet ring for men

The design of the signet refers to lava, a powerful, irrepressible force that solidified on the surface of the earth in the form of sharp-edged rocks. The geometric ring was molded from brass in the ORSKA workshop in Poznań. Jewelers polished it by hand, giving it specific geometric facets. Thanks to this process, each piece is unique and has its individual features. The noble color of old gold adds character to the ring. The smoothed surface of the inner part of the ring makes it comfortable to wear. The ring will be suitable for both everyday and elegant outfits, adding a stylish look to the owner. The minimalist signet ring is also a good choice for fierce women who like bold forms and original design. For this reason, the ring is available in both men's and women's sizes. Be sure to check out our guide on how to choose the right size.

History of signet rings

A signet ring is a decorative ring that in the past was often associated with power and wealth.
It was originally used by the Romans as a personal seal containing a family crest, monogram, or other symbols. Thus, it was not only a part of the attire of wealthy men, but also a utilitarian object and their personal mark. Signets differed in size and weight. As you can easily guess, the richer the owner, the more impressive his jewelry was.

How to style a signet ring?

According to Polish tradition, noblemen wore a signet ring on the ring finger of their left hand. It used to be believed that this finger was the one connected to the heart. Sometimes it was also possible to meet gentlemen with jewelry on the right hand, and these were usually bachelors. However, in the Anglo-Saxon tradition, a man's signet ring is usually worn on the little finger of the right hand. In modern times, we have freedom in this regard. In choosing the hand on which to wear the ring, be guided by your comfort and taste. You can match such jewelry with both a basic t-shirt and an elegant jacket. Don't be afraid to combine your signet ring with other accessories. With a watch, bracelet, or necklace it will form an interesting set. Follow your taste and don’t be afraid to experiment. That way styling and wearing jewelry will become a pleasure.
