Crafts of the World - Anna Orska in Morocco
Reinterpreting the aesthetics of this colorful African country in the Morocco collection, Anna Orska focused on the elaborate ornamentation seen in the streets, workshops and mosques. Looking at some of her designs, it is hard not to think of mashrabiya, or openwork window and balcony covers, which once helped cool the hot air and at the same time provided cover for women. While remaining invisible, they could follow the life going on in the street. ORSKA symbolically moved them from an area of concealment to an area of interest, turning the elements that cover into a form that attracts attention. In a symbolic way, she made them visible.
Wide ring with lace structure from the Morocco collection
The wide ring was handcrafted from silver in a Moroccan workshop. The Marrakech masters cut out the intricate pattern and gave it an openwork structure, then deepened the relief to highlight the ornament. Wanting to emphasize the play of light and shadow, the jewelry was oxidized in the ORSKA workshop. The ring is decorated with a large stone. The blue faceted zirconia was set in a brass setting in a contrasting gold color. Thanks to the skillful combination of accents in different colors, the ring with an ethnic character was given a contemporary twist. Our rings are made in sizes from 9 to 23. On our website under the “Jewelry Sizes” tab you can find instructions on how to choose the perfect ring size.
Moroccan jewelry in everyday looks
The eclecticism of this African country encourages experimentation with design. Handcrafted from nickel silver, silver and brass, the jewelry designs look most striking when worn together. Dark jewelry contrasted with gold accents and blue stones like the company of airy fabrics, but will work well not only in a summer closet. It will also be a great addition to thick sweaters or soft scarves. Jewelry surrounded by the aromas of Morocco will enliven the atmosphere straight from the tales of one thousand and one nights.
