Traditional folk jewelry is full of meanings and symbols. Both African handicrafts and Indian ornaments or Łowicz bead embroidery carry a story about women. The color, shape and order of the beads can indicate the position, wealth and status of their owner. Anna Orska returned to the roots of traditional cultures and transferred them to contemporary ground, expanding the spectrum of meanings of the new femininity in the Etnoart collection. The designer used natural stones to create intricate compositions along the lines of mosaics, arabesques and frescoes from ancient temples where feminine power and strength were worshiped.
