Anna Orska collected pearls for several years, caring for their interesting and unusual shapes. Carefully selected, they created the jewelry from the Perle collection, in which each pearl is a sculpture created by nature. Imperfect, unique, one-of-a-kind. Each is a one-of-a-kind piece that required an individual jeweler's approach. That's why, at the ORSKA studio, when working on silver settings for pearls, we first created sketches on paper to ensure they fit the curves and irregularities perfectly. Only then did we cut them out of silver sheet, bend them, and shape them so that the metal and pearl became inseparable.

Ring with a large, irregular pearl from the Perle collection

The ring is made of 925 sterling silver. A round pearl with an irregular surface is placed on the front of the wide band. The setting was created to match the natural depressions and creases on the pearl's surface. This allows the silver to delicately envelop the stone, emphasizing its organic form. Each pearl tells its own story of creation—recorded in the ridges and microstructures resembling fingerprints. No two natural pearls are identical, so each ring is unique. The pearls differ slightly in shape and shade from the one shown in the photo, further emphasizing the unique character of the jewelry from this collection.

Pearl Symbolism

Over the centuries, many legends and myths have arisen about the origins of pearls. In Japan, they were believed to be the tears of nymphs, mermaids, and angels. The Greeks believed that pearls were created from droplets of water that splashed around Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love, as she emerged from the sea foam. In Christian culture, pearls symbolized purity and spiritual clarity. They were also beloved by artists, including, of course, Vermeer. Stones with such significant cultural and symbolic significance make a perfect gift for special occasions, such as a wedding anniversary, anniversary, or an important life milestone.
