The jade stones, hand-polished in a Guatemalan workshop by Master Stanislavo, were brought to the ORSKA studio, where, under the careful supervision of jewelers, they were set in silver and gold-plated frames, creating minimalist jewelry that carries the secrets of artisans passed down from generation to generation. Fabrics from the town of Chichicastenango were transformed into a limited line of kimonos, and strips of handwoven decorative fabric were made into bracelets – cuffs that provide a bold, traditional accent in this collection. This is jewelry with continuity: showing how ancient forms can come alive in a new context. The necklace is handmade from light green jade beads polished into smooth, round shapes. Their glossy surface contrasts with the geometric cone-shaped pendants made of gold-plated brass.
