Stone of the future in a futuristic setting
Believing that the manufacturing process can be replaced by recycling, ORSKA created a stone made from post-industrial plastic that adorns some of the jewelry designs in the New Stone collection. The Stone of the Future sheds light on the problem of overproduction of plastic, which too often ends up in landfills or waterways after a single use. The unique material, however, required a unique setting. ORSKA jewelers reached for cast silver, giving the handmade jewelry a fluid, irregular shape. The form evokes the waters of the seas and oceans, which too often become a dumping ground for plastic waste. The silver jewelry from the New Stone collection is an artistic hybrid of irregular, rough texture and rawness with a brilliant shine and polished surface.
Subtle silver necklace
The irregular, shiny surface is the first to catch the eye in the delicate necklace from the New Stone collection. It was handcrafted from bright silver by ORSKA jewelers. The rigid hoop-shaped piece was finished with a delicate chain and a lobster claw clasp. The end of the necklace was decorated with a small round logo. The texture of the silver resembles a rushing stream, where the water harmoniously surrounds pieces of rock hiding just below its surface. The necklace reminds us of the fragility of nature and the influence we have on it.
How to style a silver necklace
A short necklace will work especially well in styling for special occasions. Worn with a dress with open shoulders or a suit, it will emphasize the elegant character of the outfit.
