Crafts of the world: the Kembali jewelry collection created by local masters
Anna Orska regularly travels in search of rare crafts, techniques, and materials. During these design expeditions, she visits workshops around the world and collaborates with local artisans to create jewelry collections that pay homage to their masterful skills and cultural heritage. The designer first visited Bali eight years ago and has now returned to the island to witness how much has changed. However, the Kembali collection remains true to Balinese craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from the island’s nature, rituals, and symbolism.
Kembali collection ring – the quintessence of balinese craftsmanship
This ring is entirely handcrafted – the intricate bamboo-themed sculpture was created in Bali, while the snake-shaped form made of gold-plated brass was produced in our workshop in Poznań.The large, eye-catching centerpiece was meticulously carved over several hours; due to the handmade process, each piece is unique, bearing the individual imprint of the sculptor who crafted it. The irregular-width band smoothly adapts to the shape of the hand, ensuring both comfort and an elegant appearance. The back of the ring features an engraving inspired by snake skin – a recurring motif throughout the Kembali collection. This choice is no coincidence! The snake symbolizes transformation and wisdom, serving as a reminder of inner strength and readiness for change. Delicate details give the jewelry a mysterious, deeply meaningful character.
The ring is available in sizes 9 to 23, and you can find guidance on selecting the right size on our website.
Bamboo-themed ring – who is it for?
Bamboo, the central motif of this ring, is deeply rooted in Eastern culture and symbolism. It represents not only strength and flexibility but also spiritual growth and inner balance. On Bali, bamboo plays a crucial role in daily life, serving as both a construction material and a symbol of resilience and harmony with nature. In this ring, the finely sculpted bamboo transports us to the world of Balinese ceremonies and rituals, where plant life acts as a bridge between the tangible and the spiritual. The ring pairs beautifully with other pieces from the Kembali collection, forming a cohesive jewelry narrative. It can be combined with long necklaces adorned with intricately carved hibiscus flowers, which symbolize beauty and delicacy, or with bold snake-motif bracelets. The sculpted earrings from the same collection add harmony to the look, while the richly decorated brooches serve as striking accents that attract attention. By pairing this ring with other designs from the Kembali collection, you can create a unique, meaningful, and artistically crafted set inspired by Balinese nature and tradition.
