The cosmos at your fingertips – the Meteoros jewelry collection
The Meteoros collection was born out of a fascination with the sky and a desire to explore materials rarely found in traditional jewelry making. We looked up and brought the cosmos down to Earth: our handcrafted jewelry features fragments of genuine meteorites, some of the oldest stones on our planet. They formed alongside the Solar System approximately 4.5 billion years ago, making them truly otherworldly materials. Here, the raw beauty of nature meets the elegance of modern craftsmanship, and whenever we see a shooting star, we still feel the urge to make a wish. With Meteoros jewelry, you can wear your own star every day.
Meteorite cufflinks from the Meteoros collection
These square cufflinks feature an irregular texture reminiscent of an asteroid's surface. At the center of each metallic crater sits a round, flat fragment of Aletai meteorite. Its surface reveals a distinctive pattern known as Widmanstätten patterns – intersecting layers arranged in alternating directions that shimmer with every movement. The cufflinks are silver-plated and oxidized, giving them a deep, dark finish that emphasizes their cosmic character.
Like natural stones, meteorites are unique, so individual pieces may differ slightly from those shown in the photographs. Thanks to the one-of-a-kind nature of these cosmic fragments, every piece of jewelry from the Meteoros collection is truly unique.
Aletai meteorite in ORSKA jewelry
The Aletai meteorite fell to Earth between 10,000 and 15,000 years ago in what is now China. When it reached our planet, it weighed approximately 100 tonnes, and its fragments were scattered across an area with a radius of 500 km. It is considered one of the largest meteorites in the world. Composed mainly of iron and nickel, it also contains trace amounts of rare elements such as gold, copper and iridium. Its most remarkable feature is its Widmanstätten pattern – a design created by nature billions of years ago that remains timeless to this day. For centuries, meteorites have been regarded as stones with magical properties, believed to offer protection and enhance energy.
Meteorite cufflinks as a gift idea
Cufflinks are most commonly associated with men's formalwear, but they also work beautifully with everyday outfits, including office attire. Women are increasingly embracing them, too. These Aletai meteorite cufflinks will appeal to anyone who appreciates understated yet distinctive jewelry. A fragment of a star, set in a refined jewelry design, can become a symbolic gift for someone who dares to follow their dreams.
