Artistic ceramics framed in gold - the Monumental collection

The ceramics used in the latest ORSKA collection are fragments of ceramic tiles that would never decorate home interiors due to minor imperfections. In the ORSKA atelier they were given a second life according to the idea of less waste. Confidently adapting non-jewelry material to jewelry forms, we reached for a fragile yet durable material whose surface is inspired by the patterns drawn on rocks by nature: their individual arrangement of structures, composition of colors and inclusions. The Monumental collection includes several designs of long and short necklaces with striking pendants, as well as two original bracelets for fans of modern or classically elegant solutions. The collection is complemented by stud earrings and colorful ceramic pins in a gold setting.

Elegant necklace with ceramic pendant

The necklace from the Monumental collection was handmade in the ORSKA workshop. It was created by juxtaposing ceramic fragments in shades of black and gray with gold-plated brass. The whole was set on an elegant box chain. Geometric forms emphasize the uniqueness and natural beauty of the raw material, while the forged metal surface adds freshness and rock-style character. Thanks to this, the design resembles a jewelry puzzle. The gold-plated brass forms combine with each other to form a cohesive whole on the body, in a similar way to how ceramic elements merge with each other in home interiors. The necklace is finished with a several-centimeter extension, a lobster claw clasp and a round ORSKA logo. Although the necklace looks great solo, it also enjoys the company of other designs from the Monumental collection - together with the wide bracelet or ceramic pin it will form a set that cannot be ignored.

Due to the uniqueness of the ceramic elements, the necklace may differ slightly in the color of the ceramic stone.

The aesthetics of Art Nouveau in the Monumental collection

The handmade jewelry was created at the intersection of completely different traditional techniques: jewelry making and ceramics. Minimalist gold-plated forms combined with classically cut ceramic stones created jewelry that synthesizes modern design with timeless elegance. In the Monumental collection, enthusiasts will find references to Art Nouveau style. Its main idea was to strive for unity by combining different disciplines, in particular craftsmanship, interior design, sculpture and graphics. The bold juxtaposition of gold with geometric figures in white, black and gray brings to mind the aesthetics of Gustav Klimt's paintings - it catches the eye and never goes out of fashion.
