Light of the sky, shape of the earth
In Roman mythology, Aurora was the goddess of dawn. Each day, she crossed the sky to announce the arrival of a new day, painting the horizon with colors no one had ever seen before. In nature, the Aurora Borealis is the northern lights — a spectacle where light dances across the heavens, creating images that can never be repeated. This bold, shifting, and unpredictable interplay of colors became our inspiration in creating the collection.
TOURMALINE — THE MULTICOLORED GEMSTONE
We have captured the aurora within tourmalines — gemstones nature has created in nearly every shade. Raw, split, and untamed, they have retained their natural shapes and rich hues. Each stone is individually set in gold-plated silver. This unique approach sets the collection apart, as jewelry settings are usually standardized. In the Aurora collection, every setting is designed and handcrafted to match the irregular form of each stone.
Our tourmalines come from Rajasthan, where they were split and crafted in a small, family-run workshop. Anna Orska met the owners during one of her design journeys to India. A split stone is broken rather than cut, preserving its original character. This ancient method means each tourmaline has a unique shape — sometimes imperfect, jagged like a raw nugget. Visible inclusions, reminiscent of inner fractures, add depth and catch the light.
In striking necklaces, wide bracelets, and dangling earrings, the tourmalines form colorful, luminous streams of aurora. Deep greens, raspberry pinks, purples, multicolored and watermelon varieties combine into a mosaic where every hue pulses with its own energy. The collection is complemented by cool blue, also split, aquamarines, and transparent herkimer diamonds — true treasures in the world of minerals. They appear as if finely cut, though their form is entirely natural. Completing the palette is the queen of colors — black. Schorl, or black tourmaline, reveals its beauty most fully in a large, statement ring whose stone bears the marks of the chisel, like the grain of wood.
THE AURORA CAPTURED IN STONE
The Aurora collection is where the wildness of the earth meets the colors of the sky at dawn — light locked inside a gemstone. Each piece is unique, just as every display of the northern lights is one of a kind. This is jewelry for those who wish to carry a fragment of nature in its most untamed form. For those who can see the magic in what is raw and unrefined. And for those who believe that nature is the greatest artist of all.
