The Northern Lights are a dance of color across the night sky - impossible to repeat, always changing, and stirring different emotions every time. This extraordinary play of light became the inspiration behind the Aurora jewelry collection. Designer Anna Orska sought to capture its magic in gemstones that embody the same essence - wild, full of energy, and resistant to convention.
Aurora is a meeting of earth and sky. On one hand, colorful tourmalines, cool aquamarines, and transparent Herkimers shimmer with the hues of the aurora borealis. On the other, the raw authenticity of stones that were not cut and polished but cleaved in the traditional way. Each stone retains its individuality: irregular shapes, inclusions, subtle fractures, and rough textures. That is why Aurora jewelry is always one of a kind - just like the aurora, which never looks the same twice.
Tourmalines – nature’s colors captured in stone
The central heroes of the Aurora collection are tourmalines - gemstones formed by nature in nearly every shade of the rainbow. From deep greens through raspberry pinks and violets, to rare “watermelon” tones where several colors blend within a single crystal. Every tourmaline was left in its raw, cleaved form and individually set in gold-plated sterling silver (925).
This approach makes the collection unique - in traditional jewelry, standardized settings dominate, while in Aurora each frame is tailored by hand to the shape and character of the stone. The result: rings, necklaces, and bracelets that resemble luminous bands of light across the night sky.
For centuries, tourmalines have also carried rich symbolism - green stones are linked with harmony and renewal, pink with love and tenderness, blue with calm and intuition, while black tourmalines (schorl) are believed to provide protection and inner strength. The collection also features Herkimer diamonds, a rare variety of quartz crystal. Exceptionally clear, they are distinguished by golden-gray inclusions that look like reflections of light and shadow trapped inside the stone. Their natural form resembles finely cut jewels, though in truth they are untouched by human hands.

Its rough, chiseled surface bears the marks of its formation - imperfect, textured, and strikingly real.
