ORSKA
The Art of Blooming

Spring begins quietly beneath the surface of the earth. It is there that the decision to grow matures unseen. The Plantis collection was inspired by that very moment, when the hidden energy of nature opens closed petals. Blooming is not a beginning but a moment of fulfillment, the point toward which everything has been moving. Hand-painted forget-me-nots, poppies, chamomile flowers, and orchids capture this instant. These jewelry flowers are neither fragile nor fleeting, they can bloom all year round in the most unexpected places of a wardrobe, such as the buttons of a shirt, the cuff of a sleeve, or the lapel above the pocket of a favorite jacket. Thanks to their vibrant colors, they look most beautiful when worn together in rich bouquets.

A JEWELER’S STUDY OF NATURE

The process of creating jewelry from the Plantis collection reflects the rhythm of nature. Just as a flower begins with a small bud, everything in the ORSKA studio begins with a sketch created by designer Anna Orska. It is there that the form is born, proportions are defined, the rhythm of lines established, and the direction of the design determined. The next stage resembles the ripening of a bud. Jewelry petals are twisted together in the workshop using tiny jeweler’s screws, giving the pieces the appearance of forms folded from Japanese origami. The moment of bloom - the culmination - is the application of color.

SAKURA IN FULL BLOOM

The latest chapter of the collection was inspired by the Japanese concept of mono no aware - a gentle emotion felt in response to the inevitability of passing time. Its symbol is the sakura, the cherry blossom, which captivates in its fullness only for a brief moment. It is precisely this fleeting nature that makes it so moving. Soft pink floral forms have been shaped into delicate earrings, necklaces, brooches, and pins. In some pieces we embraced asymmetry, evoking the natural, imperfect arrangement of branches and blossoms, which never bloom in exactly the same way.

THE BEAUTY OF A MOMENT

Mono no aware is a deep appreciation of beauty that arises from the awareness of its transience. According to this Japanese idea, it is precisely the passing of things that makes beauty move us most deeply. In the Plantis collection, the durability of jewelry meets the fleeting nature of inspiration. Metal preserves the shape of a moment that in nature would last only an instant. By wearing jewelry from this line, one carries two truths at once: permanence and fragility, eternity and the moment.
