Anna Orska has created a collection that adheres to the perfection of natural forms. The designer's admiration accompanying the study of seemingly mundane prosaic plants, such as the Thuja occidentalis, wintergreen boxwood or Norway maple, became an inspiration for the creation of an ever-expanding herbarium, which is still being developed in the ORSKA studio and whose specimens are worn close to the body. The leaves, shoots and seeds of the plants were reproduced in real size in brass, and thanks to the use of casting technology in metal sculptures even the smallest detail was faithfully reproduced. Respecting the natural grace of plants, the designer decided to interfere as little as possible in their actual shape, taking even the most modest specimens as a theme of her art.
Jewelry from the Bery collection: forest enchantment
The multitude of shapes, the variety of textures, and the infinity of colors found in nature are an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Anna Orska. With every moment spent in the bosom of nature: by the sea, in the Polish mountains, or in home gardens, meadows, fields, and forests, new ideas for jewelry come to the designer’s mind. Small treasures found in the forest undergrowth, brought to ORSKA studio, inspired her to expand her jewelry herbarium. She recreated in brass the leaves, shoots, fruits, and seeds of plants in actual size. And by using casting technology to create the metal sculptures, she was able to faithfully reproduce, even the smallest details.
In this collection of handmade jewelry, the main role is played by forms taken straight from nature! Drop earrings, long necklaces, original bracelets, pins, and rings, although made of brass, look as if they were real plants, accidentally brought straight from a long walk along the forest paths. Small flowers and shoots have attracted company. In the Bery collection you will also find jewelry in the shape of tiny insects, frogs, and lizards.
The jewelry in the Bery collection is diverse, just like the world of flora and fauna. The collection includes small and large, as well as decorative and minimalistic forms. Thanks to this, you can create not only elegant and classic sets, but also, for example, those in the boho style. One of the hallmarks of the collection is asymmetry, in which ORSKA found a way to express individual style. Seemingly mismatched pairs of earrings delight with their originality and invite you to creative play.
Jewelry from the Bery collection: jewelry with clovers
In the Bery collection you will find handmade jewelry with a clover. The bracelet, earrings, necklace, and pins were decorated in ORSKA studio with the four-leaf symbol of happiness. The delicate jewelry is a great gift for anyone we want to wish good luck. A four-leaf clover is often given to people facing a major challenge or sudden change. The symbol of good luck and prosperity can also be a personal talisman. Worn close to the body in the jewelry form, it is supposed to attract positive chances and happy endings. It is also believed that each clover leaf carries a different boon: faith, hope, love, and happiness. The symbol deeply rooted in our culture is also an attribute of lovers. Indicating good fortune and favor of the universe, jewelry with a clover is often a wedding accent. The plant, which can be found in meadows, gardens, and forests, evokes pleasant memories and stimulates good emotions. After all, searching for a four-leaf clover was a common play in childhood. In adulthood, jewelry with a clover can remind us of the sheer joy of finding that one four-leaf specimen among hundreds of three-leaf ones.
Jewelry from the Bery collection: jewelry with ears of grain
Golden fields of grain are an important part of Poland’s August landscape. The ripe ears of grain are associated with abundance and prosperity. According to beliefs, grain also has a healing effect, protects against evil, and is associated with many traditional rituals and superstitions. Anna Orska enclosed the most popular varieties of grain in jewelry forms. She cast the ears of wheat, barley, rye, and oats in brass, thanks to which it was possible to reconstruct even the tiniest details from their complex structure. Some parts were very difficult to recreate, but if you look closely at the jewelry from the Bery collection, you will discover that we found our ways and managed to copy them in our Poznań studio. The ear of grain bracelet, earrings, necklace, and ring all look very realistic. The golden color of brass emphasizes their natural look. The jewelry with an ear of grain will appeal to those who like decorative forms, such as the long necklace or eye-catching earrings. The jewelry will also be a good gift idea for those who like to spend their free time in the countryside. The original ring in the form of a brass ear of grain will be perfect as a symbol of eternal love. Gifted to a loved one, just like a classic wedding band, it expresses a whole range of beautiful emotions. Until death do you part.
Jewelry from the Bery collection: jewelry with mistletoe
Mistletoe is a harbinger of Christmas joy. During this particular period, it can be found in almost every home. In antiquity, it was considered a gift of the gods that was supposed to bring prosperity and protect against evil. Suspended from the ceiling a few days before the end of the year, it is said to spread its caring power to the house and all household members. The delicate green leaves decorated with white berries also made themselves at home in the ORSKA workshop. We cast mistletoe in brass and created a jewelry version of it to help bring good fortune and happiness all year round! The necklace and earrings from the Bery collection will not adorn interiors, but will evoke the magical charm of Christmas by adorning you. If you want December enthusiasm and good emotions to always be close to you, do not miss the mistletoe necklace and earrings. The brass leaves are decorated with irregular freshwater pearls, which makes the jewelry set look noble and elegant.
Jewelry from the Bery collection: jewelry with maple seeds
Maple seeds are associated with the joy and carefree nature of our childhood. Once their natural version adorned our noses, today their brass interpretation can adorn ears, necks, wrists and even fingers. All thanks to jewelry from the Bery collection, in which brass pendants in the shape of maple seeds are the centerpiece. The delicate jewelry will appeal to nature lovers. Faithfully reproduced forms suspended on a long chain or leverback earwires will create a perfect set when styled with other nature-inspired jewelry designed by Anna Orska.
Jewelery from the Bery collection: jewelery with natural stones
The natural beauty of small landscape elements: cones, twigs, leaves, and berries, enclosed in original jewelry, is sometimes complemented by the discreet charm of natural stones. We saw the potential of this combination not by accident - natural stones, shaped by the forces of nature millions of years ago, perfectly match the floral motifs. A properly faceted garnet looks just like a black currant, and the delicacy of barberry leaves is effectively emphasized by the pastel blue of aquamarines. From the whole range of possibilities created by nature and captured by ORSKA jewelers, colorful necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets were created, which are beautiful to be worn solo, but look even better in a set.
Jewelry from the Bery collection: to be continued ;)
The jewelry herbarium of ORSKA is constantly expanding. From time to time, new twigs, leaves, shoots, and fruits land on the jewelers' table, which, after several months of work, turn into new earrings, rings, bracelets, and necklaces. Anna Orska has not yet said the last word on the subject! Who knows what new species she will come across on her next walk!
