The first pre-ferns appeared on Earth about 400 million years ago. Not surprisingly, the descendants of such a primaeval plant carry the mystery of history and symbolism of centuries. People have always attributed magical properties to fern. They were supposed to be a symbol of prosperity, happiness, and good luck, and, on Midsummer Night, to protect houses from demonic forces, especially active during the solstice. Once again, Anna Orska reached for the symbolism in which she is trying to strike a balance between what is modern and elegant, and what is primordial and metaphysical. The ferns from the NEFRO collection, reinterpreted in metallic, exquisite forms, create an ecosystem of ornaments, the undergrowth for reality combined with what is subconscious, intuitive and mysterious.
