Guatemala Collection – Craftsmanship from the Master’s Workshop
For years, Anna Orska has traveled the world in search of authentic craftsmanship, alive even in the most remote corners. From Bali, she brought inspirations from nature – roses, chrysanthemums, and snakes carved in wood or horn by local masters. From Morocco, intricate patterns inspired by hand-cut lamps emerged. Each journey tells a story of people, their skills, and heritage passed down through generations. This time, her journey led to Guatemala – a land where the earth hides jade, the sacred stone of the Maya. In master Stanislavo’s workshop, amid volcanic mountains, the stones gain their shine. His hands follow the natural structure of jade, revealing shades of green, black, white, and pink from rough raw blocks. Each stone is unique and carries its own story. From Guatemala, the jadeite arrived at our jewelry studio, where it met precise cool metal and minimalist forms. Thus, the Guatemala Collection was born – jewelry that blends ancient tradition with contemporary design, carrying the energy of Central America. Necklaces, rings, bracelets, and earrings in this collection present jade in geometric forms of gold-plated brass and bright 925 silver.
Long Gold-Plated Earrings with Green Jade from the Guatemala Collection
These earrings are handmade from gold-plated brass with elongated, slim jadeite cones. The intense green of the stone immediately draws attention – in Mayan culture, green jade carries a sacred and powerful meaning, distinct from general green, which symbolizes life and harmony in nature. At the top of the earrings, a smooth, satin-finished inverted cone holds the stud. A second cone hangs from a link, made of textured metal, with jade wrapped in gold-plated brass appearing halfway down the earring.
The jade used in the Guatemala Collection is natural, so each pair may vary slightly – the unique inclusions and shades of green make every pair one-of-a-kind.
Styling Long Earrings – Let Them Shine
Long earrings are statement jewelry, designed to draw attention. They work best with hair pulled back or tucked behind the ears, allowing them to fully shine, illuminate the face, and visually elongate the neck. Both green and light jade earrings can be worn alone, without large necklaces, letting them be the star of the look. They pair beautifully with minimalist pieces from the Guatemala Collection: a geometric gold-plated bracelet, a jade ring, or pins with green stones. When combining with jewelry from other collections, opt for delicate rings like those from the Body or Aurora collections, or bracelets such as the rigid Holos bracelet or the timeless round-link bracelet. These earrings are perfect for elegant evening looks when you want someone to say “wow.” If you love bold jewelry, they also work for everyday wear as a centerpiece with a simple white shirt or linen dress.
