Every journey of Anna Orska within the “Crafts of the World” series is an exploration of new stories: people, places, and traditions nurtured for centuries. This time, the journey led to Guatemala, opening the door to a world where stone and fabric carry centuries-old tales. For the Maya, jade was more than decoration – it was a talisman connecting people with the invisible world, transmitting the energy of the earth. Weaving, on the other hand, was the language of women, who recorded stories of their homeland in the threads. In the Guatemala collection, ORSKA combines these two worlds. Jade pieces, hand-polished by master Stanislavo in Guatemalan workshops, were set in minimalist gold-plated and silver mounts. Fabrics from Chichicastenango became limited-edition kimonos and colorful woven bracelets. This collection is about transformation – how ancient symbols can live in a new form, and how craftsmanship becomes a universal language. The brooch is handcrafted from gold-plated brass in the shape of an elongated pyramid, from which a shiny green jade emerges.
