Guatemala jewelry collection – jade takes the spotlight
Another journey by Anna Orska in search of traditional crafts led her to Guatemala – a kingdom of colors and jade, where tradition intertwines with spirituality. Here, in the heart of Central America, jade has played a special role for millennia. In pre-Columbian cultures, it was considered more valuable than gold. The Maya used it in sacred rituals and created funerary masks found in the tombs of rulers. Jade was believed to have magical properties, bringing luck, prosperity, and ensuring well-being in the afterlife. The Guatemala collection places jade at the center of attention. Hand-cut stones from Guatemalan workshops are combined with geometric silver and gold-plated settings. Colorful jade set in minimalist frames forms a line of contemporary talismans, ready to accompany you on daily adventures. The collection is complemented by vibrant Guatemalan textiles, together telling a story of spirituality, tradition, and craft passed down through generations.
Jade pyramid earrings – an ancient stone in a modern setting
The earrings are handcrafted in the shape of elongated pyramids. Polished jade stones emerge from satin-finished gold-plated frames, forming the lower part of the geometric shape. Dark green jade is used in this design. The earrings fasten with gold-plated silver posts, ensuring comfortable wear despite their striking size.
Each jade used in the Guatemala collection is a natural stone, so individual pairs of earrings may slightly vary in color – characteristic inclusions make each pair unique.
Green jade – styling and pairing tips
Green jade earrings attract attention and pair beautifully with natural tones such as beige, brown, khaki, and ecru. The jade’s green also complements white, black, or navy. Due to their bold size, these earrings are best worn alone as a statement piece, without large necklaces. They pair well with other pieces from the Guatemala collection: a delicate geometric gold-plated bracelet, a jade bracelet with charms, or a woven bracelet in green tones to highlight the stone’s color. This pair works equally well in elegant evening outfits and casual ensembles. Jade earrings add character to a simple white shirt, linen dress, or suit. They are jewelry for women who embrace bold accents and appreciate the blend of tradition and modernity.
