Guatemala jewelry collection – where tradition meets modernity
In Guatemala, time flows differently – ancestral traditions live in everyday life, and stone and fabric speak their own language, passed down from generation to generation. For the Maya, jade was an amulet protecting life, connecting body and spirit. Weaving, on the other hand, has for centuries been a record of history – colors and patterns are not random; they form an alphabet that preserves the heritage of many generations. In the Guatemala collection, ORSKA combines these two worlds: the spirituality of stone and the memory of fabric. Jade stones, hand-cut in Guatemalan workshops, were brought to ORSKA’s studio and set into geometric forms, creating a timeless collection of rings, necklaces, and bracelets. Fabrics from the town of Chichicastenango inspired a limited line of kimonos and woven bracelets. This collection speaks of continuity and transformation – how ancient symbols can live in a new form. The jewelry carries stories rooted in culture but open to new journeys. It is a tribute to history and the courage to continue writing it.
Green jade ring from the Guatemala collection
The ring is handcrafted from gold-plated brass in the form of a classic band with a satin finish. The front features a prominent stone set in a brushed frame, revealing green jade with sharply cut, geometric edges. The distinctive shape of the stone draws admiration and curiosity. It is the result of master Stanislavo’s handcrafting, who shapes each stone using traditional methods, giving it a unique, sculptural form. The contrast between the matte band, the brushed setting, and the smooth, polished jade creates an intriguing composition. Natural jade is used in the Guatemala collection, so individual rings may vary slightly in color, highlighting the unique character of each piece.
The ring is available in sizes 9 to 23. If you are unsure which size to choose, the “Sizes” tab provides step-by-step guidance for selecting the perfect fit.
How to wear and style large rings
Large, striking rings are jewelry that likes to be the center of attention – so it’s important to know how to style them to fully showcase their beauty. What to pair them with? A large ring is best worn alone on one hand or combined with delicate, subtle rings on other fingers. You can pair a Guatemala collection ring with delicate rings from the Auroria or Verum collections. In casual outfits with jeans and an oversized shirt, combine it with a subtle, stiff bracelet from the Guatemala collection or minimalist earrings, which won’t distract from the ring but will create a cohesive look. For an evening outfit with a suit or long dress, the bold ring pairs beautifully with statement jade earrings or a jade necklace. You can complete the look with a few jade pins tucked into a jacket pocket.
