Jewelry from the Semios collection – find your symbol
Culture is a story written over centuries — a collection of narratives shaped by various traditions that left their marks through symbols and signs. These symbols have transcended borders and evolved over time, yet they have always played a crucial role: uniting people, shaping identities, sparking imagination, enabling communication, and preserving memory — of the past, of heroes, of stories. Drawing from the rich symbolism of Greco-Roman, Hindu, and Central Asian traditions, we created the Semios jewelry collection. We combined these motifs into original compositions, giving them new meanings. Each piece in the collection is a layered narrative — a palimpsest of meanings, eras, and places, connecting you with what you want to remember, protect, or rediscover. Where the past meets the present, space opens up for your own story.
Gold-plated ring with ornamental details
This ring was handmade in the ORSKA jewelry studio from gold-plated brass. A thin, delicate band is adorned with a fragment of a medallion encased in an ornamental frame. The intricate border recalls classical, artisanal embellishments. The round medallion is decorated with patterns inspired by various cultures, where ornaments served not only a decorative but also symbolic and protective function. Such motifs appeared on temples, textiles, weapons, vessels — and, of course, jewelry. Each design held its own meaning: spirals symbolized life cycles, energy, and rebirth; plant motifs were associated with fertility and harmony with nature; geometric shapes emphasized order, infinity, and spiritual balance.
Every mark, dent, and fine weave in this ring is like a trace left by time — as if it were a fragment of a story found at the bottom of a chest filled with relics from ancient civilizations. Only you don’t have to unearth it — you can carry it with you, every day. The medallion that adorns its surface resembles a miniature seal — a symbol of the past, of identity, of a story encoded in gold. The woven frame doesn’t just decorate — it protects. Like a shield. Like a frame around a memory.
Seals and medallions – how to style symbolic rings?
Layered ring styling is one of the most creative ways to wear jewelry. It allows you to mix different shapes, metals, textures, and symbols to create your own personal set. Combine thin, minimalist bands with one bolder ring — such as a wide band from the Semios collection that can serve as the "anchor" of your composition. Wear it on your middle or index finger. Play with height! Stack rings on the same finger, one above the other — thin styles like the Semios medallion ring are perfect for this. You can also wear one ring at the base of your finger and another as a midi ring — higher up, above the second knuckle. Mix textures and symbols. Pair smooth bands — like those from the Verum collection — with symbolic motifs from Semios. Seek contrast and rhythm — like in fashion: something simple, something decorative, something with character.
