Jewelry from the Semios collection – find your symbol
Since the beginning, humans have created, perceived, and interpreted signs — regardless of place or time. Signs are a fundamental element of communication and the foundation of understanding. They carry identity, build communities, cross borders and generations, creating new systems of meaning. They are always with us, influencing our decisions, emotions, and actions. Some become permanently embedded in culture, while others evolve — intertwining, flowing, and changing. From this mosaic of symbols, we drew motifs characteristic of Greco-Roman, Hindu, and Central Asian traditions. We combined them into original constellations, giving them new meanings. Each element of the collection is a thread of symbols, enchanted in form, connecting you with what you want to remember, protect, or recall.
Wide band ring with ornaments
This wide ring was handmade in the ORSKA jewelry workshop from oxidized 925 sterling silver. The band has a dark, graphite color that draws attention and emphasizes the decorative ornaments adorning its surface intentionally. In world cultures, ornaments appeared on temples, fabrics, vessels, weapons, and jewelry — not only to please the eye but also to protect, tell stories, and remind. Each motif — spiral, plant, geometric — carried meaning. Spiral lines symbolized life and rebirth, plant patterns referred to fertility and harmony with nature, and repetitive geometric shapes represented order, eternity, and spiritual balance. Distinctive decorations, uneven texture, and decorative edge finishes give this wide band from the Semios collection a bold, somewhat raw character.
How to style wide band rings?
A wide band ring suits any finger perfectly. You can wear it traditionally on the ring or middle finger, but it also works wonderfully as a thumb ring. Worn on the thumb, it can serve as a statement ring — a ring that is not just “an accessory,” but the main focal point of your look. A strong and expressive wide ring doesn’t need companions to steal the spotlight and draw attention. Although it looks great alone, you can combine it with thin rings (e.g., on adjacent fingers) or with other gold accessories, mixing metals for an effective contrast. For example, pair it with a band from the New Stone collection or an openwork band from the Meteoros collection. Instead of another ring, you can also choose a bracelet for the set. Match it with a soft bracelet featuring the same motif from the Semios collection or reach for a contrasting pattern from the Orini collection.
