Goldplated jewelry with lapis lazuli

From dusk till dawn

The Orini jewelry collection was created in collaboration with Marta Niedźwiecka, a psychologist, author of books and the popular podcast “O Zmierzchu” (“At Dusk”). It is inspired by the cyclical nature of life and the only certain element in this process - change. It reminds us that everyone experiences both good and difficult moments, which must be accepted and integrated in order to move forward. Jewelry forms inspired by Moon phases, for centuries associated with rebirth and transformation, reinterpret this idea in an original way. It is no coincidence that the collection also includes lapis lazuli - a stone of wisdom and consciousness in an ultramarine color reminiscent of the night sky. Jewelry from the Orini collection is a talisman that supports the achievement of inner harmony, not letting us forget that after dusk always comes dawn.

ORINI Collection – Lapis Lazuli in a Moonlit Edition

The ORINI collection was created in collaboration between designer Anna Orska and Marta Niedźwiecka, a psychologist and creator of the podcast O zmierzchu. Through bold designs, the creators encourage us not to resist change and to draw strength from our own experiences. The forms of rings, necklaces, pins, earrings, and bracelets reference the different phases of the lunar cycle. The natural course of the silver globe in the ORINI collection becomes a symbol of the changing phases of life. The cycle of transformation, which constantly unfolds in cosmic space, can also relate to our life experiences.

A Starry Sky in Lunar Forms – Lapis Lazuli in Jewelry

The centerpiece of the ORINI jewelry collection is the intensely blue lapis lazuli. The stone’s history dates back to ancient times, when it was associated with divinity and spirituality. Lapis jewelry was an attribute of Pharaohs, rulers, and dignitaries. In powdered form, it was even used as eyeshadow—legend has it that Cleopatra herself was a fan of lapis eye makeup. During the Renaissance, lapis lazuli was ground into ultramarine pigment, which was used to paint the garments of Madonnas in artworks, as the blue color symbolized the sky and serenity.

Lapis lazuli was not chosen for ORINI by accident. Its deep cobalt color, speckled with golden pyrite, evokes images of a starry night sky, complementing the collection’s lunar theme. The intense blue hue has a calming effect, symbolizing harmony and inner strength. To this day, lapis lazuli is considered a stone of wisdom, truth, and enlightenment. Set in jewelry, it becomes a talisman, reminding us that dawn always follows the night. The smoothly polished lapis lazuli stones are set in gold-plated brass or oxidized silver.

A Play of Structures and Forms in ORINI Jewelry

The ORINI jewelry is handcrafted by artisans at ORSKA’s workshop. This collection combines contrasting finishes of gold-plated brass and silver—satin elements merge with distinctive brushed textures. The geometric, minimalist forms of necklaces, rings, and earrings immediately catch the eye. Many designs feature openwork elements or cut-outs, adding lightness to the bold compositions and balancing the substantial lapis lazuli stones. Each stone is unique, with natural golden pyrite veins or flecks arranged differently in every piece. This ensures that no two pieces in this collection are identical, emphasizing their exclusivity.

Lunar Pins – Playing with Form in Styling

The ORINI collection includes lapis lazuli pins inspired by the phases of the Moon, reflecting the perpetual process of transformation. Each pin represents a different lunar phase, carrying symbolic meaning. The New Moon pin reminds us of the balance between light and darkness, the duality of the world, and the necessity of embracing both aspects in life. The First Quarter symbolizes moments of growth and development, as light begins to break through the darkness. The Full Moon represents the triumph of light—an acknowledgment that each of us has the ability to shine and reach our full potential. It is a symbol of fulfillment and enlightenment. The Third Quarter—the same pin as the first, but worn in reverse—marks the moment when shadow begins to dominate over light. It is a time for pause and reflection, an opportunity to process the lessons learned during the full moon.

The pins can be worn together or separately, as an accent on a lapel or coat. A set of lunar pins works beautifully when pinned to a blazer pocket or placed on a scarf or beret. The ORINI collection also features a round, gold-colored pin resembling a full moon, which makes a striking accessory on a jacket sleeve or sweater.

How to Style ORINI Jewelry?

The ORINI collection combines timeless geometric forms with the distinctive cobalt lapis, making it a bold accent in any outfit. The statement round ORINI earrings, paired with the wide Holos band ring, create a perfect duo for everyday outfits featuring a minimalist dress or a soft monochrome sweater.

For lovers of statement rings, the ORINI ring with a large round lapis stone is a standout piece. It can be worn alone or paired with a short gold-plated necklace and subtle meteorite earrings.

Rings and collars with large cobalt stones and golden veins pair well with darker, muted colors such as black or navy blue. A statement lapis collar necklace, complemented by an irregular ring from the New Stone collection and small round ORINI earrings, is a great choice for formal styling. Worn with a long navy dress or a dark-toned suit, it adds elegance and a celestial glow to the look.

The ORINI collection also features silver accessories. Several pairs of small round stud earrings offer the perfect opportunity to experiment with ear styling. Mix and match different pairs for subtle asymmetrical combinations. If you have multiple piercings, try layering earrings—wear classic silver studs higher up and larger lapis hoops lower down. This look can be completed with a geometric silver ear cuff from the same collection or a more patterned piece from the Duo collection.

The ORINI collection is a tribute to the ever-changing cycles that accompany us from dusk to dawn, throughout life. It tells the story of the only constant in our existence—transformation. Through jewelry, we find symbols that remind us that light and shadow always intertwine and that every stage has its meaning and value.
