There are no beaten paths above the clouds. There are only those we dare to designate.

For Anna Orska, the change of perspective began in a Nepalese workshop - the first on the map of world crafts, where her imagination met the knowledge of craftsmen raised in a completely different tradition. After 10 years, the designer returned to the same place not to recreate the past, but to see where this craft could take her today. From this reunion, mindfulness, and willingness to abandon known solutions, the Nepal collection was created. In the repoussé metal, millimeter by millimeter, traces of the hands that shaped it remain. The lotus became a symbol of transformation, and rock crystals a record of the Himalayan landscape. The first step began this story. The return allowed it to set a new direction.

Graphite hand-repoussed bracelet from the Nepal collection

The wide bracelet, a cuff-style bracelet, is made of silver-plated and oxidized brass. The bracelet has an irregular shape. Its surface is covered with convex plant plumes and winding vines, symbolizing rebirth and openness to change. The relief was created using the repoussé technique by Newari artisans from a friendly workshop in Nepal. From there, the hand-decorated elements were sent to our jewelry studio, where we finished each piece, silver-plated it, and oxidized it. This process gave the jewelry a deep, dark hue, highlighting the richness of the decorations. We then adorned the bracelet with smoothly cut labradorites, placed at the ends of leafy spirals. The cuff also features a chain with a clasp and a pendant with the ORSKA logo, which secures the bracelet from slipping off the wrist.

All ornaments are handmade, so the arrangement of the floral motifs on each piece may differ from the bracelet shown in the photo. These subtle differences are a natural result of many hours of craftsmanship and make each bracelet unique.

Nepalese Repoussé Technique

For centuries, the rhythm of jewelry workshops in the Kathmandu Valley has been set by the steady clatter of hammers. It is here that the Newars perfect the art of repoussé. It is the process of shaping thin metal from the reverse side, strike after strike, shaping convex ornaments and expressive textures. Once the design has taken shape, the artisan refines it from the front: deepening the lines, refining the contours, and using steel punches and chisels to give it its final character. These traditional Nepalese embossed decorations are the heart of the entire collection.

Wide cuff bracelet in styles

The wide bracelet is a strong accent to any outfit. It works great worn over a shirt, just before the cuff. You can also wear one on each wrist, for example, when you want to add character to an evening outfit. The bracelet looks good with rings, such as the signet ring from the Nepal collection or a wide wedding band from the same collection. Complement the look with a delicate necklace or statement earrings: striking discs or a long, dangling model. A compliment-stealing and eye-catching effect is guaranteed.
