Above the clouds there are no beaten paths. There are only those we dare to mark
This thought guides the story of the Nepal collection. It was there, 10 years ago, that Anna Orska first stepped outside her familiar design method and began creative collaboration with craftsmen raised in a different tradition. Nepal was the beginning of a journey built on encounters, trials, and the courage to avoid repeating others' answers. Returning after many years didn't mean rehashing the past. It was an opportunity to look in a new direction from the same place. This is how a collection was created, combining the designer's imagination with the experience of Nepalese masters. Repoussé metal retained the traces of their handiwork, the lotus became a symbol of transformation, and rock crystals evoked the clarity and austerity of the Himalayan peaks. The Nepal collection speaks to the idea that one's path isn't found once and for all. One must have the courage to constantly redefine it.
Graphite earrings with labradorites from the Nepal collection
At the center of a petite pair of stud earrings, magnificent, smoothly cut labradorites are placed. This stone appears gray at first glance, but the moment it is set in motion, it reveals colorful reflections. The stones are encased in an alpaca setting, which has been silver-plated and oxidized, giving it a dark hue. The metal is covered with small floral ornaments, and the earrings fasten with a comfortable oxidized silver stud.
Labradorite - a stone of perspective change
Mountains teach us to see the world differently. What seems vast up close and fills the entire field of vision, from a distance, turns out to be only a small fragment of a larger whole. Proportions change, and with them, so does our way of thinking. Suddenly, we see paths and solutions that previously remained unnoticed, hidden somewhere beyond our field of vision. The labradorite in this collection embodies precisely this shift in perspective. At first glance, it appears dark and austere, but only in movement does it reveal its true face: reflections of blue, green, and gold, known as the labradorization phenomenon. It does so differently each time, as if trying not to repeat the same view twice. It is said to symbolize inner transformation and the ability to see beneath the surface. In many traditions, it is considered a protective stone, helping to separate what is essential from what only seems important. Labradorite reminds us that sometimes a slight shift in perspective is enough to see a completely different story than we first saw.
