Anna Orska traveled to energetic Morocco on her next design trip. Multicolored Marrakech enchanted her with a multitude of inspiring techniques and local workshops, where the thick aroma of spices mingled with dust. Ultimately, she was most captivated by the metal, openwork lamps. The lanterns, of various shapes and sizes, seduce with the precision of their handcrafted workmanship and intricate lace embellishments that let the light shine through, diffusing it into thousands of shimmering reflections. This makes the small local workshop feel like an African desert under a starry sky.

Short oxidized earrings from the Morocco collection

The earrings were handmade from nickel silver in a Moroccan workshop. The Marrakech masters cut out the intricate shape and gave it a lace-like texture, then deepened the relief to highlight the ornament. Wanting to emphasize the play of light and shadow, the symmetrical earrings were additionally oxidized at the ORSKA workshop, and the brass settings were decorated with a sea blue stone. The floral pattern was inspired by traditional Moroccan lamps, which, according to Islamic tradition, are richly decorated with flowers, leaves or finely intertwined vines.
