Crafts of the world: the Kembali jewelry collection created by local masters

Anna Orska regularly embarks on journeys in search of rare crafts, techniques, and materials. During these design expeditions, she visits workshops worldwide and collaborates with local artisans to create jewelry collections that pay tribute to their masterful skills and cultural heritage.The designer first visited Bali eight years ago and has now returned to the island to witness how much has changed. However, the Kembali collection remains true to Balinese craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from the island’s nature, rituals, and symbolism.

Hand-carved hibiscus – a flower of strength and delicacy

This long necklace is entirely handcrafted – partly by Balinese masters in a local workshop and partly in our Poznań studio. The centerpiece of the necklace is an intricately carved pendant in the shape of a hibiscus flower – a symbol of beauty, strength, and the fleeting nature of moments. Balinese sculptors dedicated several hours to capturing the subtle details of the petals, giving them a realistic texture. The carved flower is suspended on a gold-plated box chain that delicately shimmers in the light, while the clasp is adorned with a flower bud pendant. The piece is finished with details inspired by snake symbolism. This choice is intentional – in Bali, the Ode (snake) is a powerful symbol of transformation, change, and wisdom.
