Kembali Jewelry Collection - nature in a sculptural way
Life in Bali goes on in a rhythm determined by rituals, which are inextricably linked with nature. It is the influence of Balinese nature that can be seen most strongly in the jewelry designs created by designer Anna Orska during her trip to the Indonesian island of flowers. The designs for the Kembali collection were born near Ubud, where the black and white miniature sculptures were created by local masters. All pieces were handmade. The Balinese sculptors who created them have spent a lifetime perfecting their technique, developing incredible precision and patience. Each piece that comes out of their hands is the result of many hours of meticulous work. Such skills are passed down from generation to generation, like a kind of philosophy of life. The jewelry, in the shape of island flora and fauna, resembles talismans, amulets and small modern totems.
Chain necklace with a snake motif from the Kembali jewelry collection
The artistic necklace was handmade in a studio in Poznan, but the idea for it was born while Anna Orska was still on her trip to Bali. Round links of different sizes were cast in brass, precisely reproducing the motif of snake scales. When joined together, the links formed a short chain. The necklace was gilded and finished with a clasp on an artistic hook with a snake motif, which allows convenient and simple length adjustment. The composition is completed with a pendant with a snake's head and a suspended ORSKA logo. Although the necklace looks great solo, it also likes the company of other designs from the Kembali jewelry collection - hanging snake link earrings or a double gold-plated ring will form a duo with it, which cannot be passed by indifferently.
Ode - the Bali snake in the Kembali jewelry collection
In Bali, the dominant religion is Hinduism, in which snakes have rich symbolism. They are considered guardians of sacred sites, treasures and water sources. They embody wisdom, immortality and vitality. The snake foreshadows transformation, which is supposed to lead to better things. It is a metaphor for the closed cycle of life and death. It carries the message to let go of what no longer fits us and make room for the new. Although in the Christian religion the snake is associated with temptation, in European culture it can also be recognized as a symbol of doctors and apothecaries, still associated with recovery (Aesculapius snake) since ancient Greece. The snake is the main motif of Kembali's jewelry collection because of the positive symbolism it carries. Anna Orska metaphorically brings the good message from the paradise island of flowers directly to our cultural circle.
