Jewelry collection from Bali: where nature sets the rhythm

The Kembali collection owes its name to the Indonesian language, in which it means "return". Anna Orska regularly travels the world to reinterpret traditional, rare crafts and local materials according to her own sensibilities. Her first visit to Bali did not exhaust her artistic potential and called for another visit after eight years. When the familiar place proved unfamiliar, the designer decided to return to the Balinese roots: nature, crafts and rituals. Carved by local masters in traditional materials, the jewelry with the motif of island flora and fauna is meant to remind us that returning to nature should become our most important ritual.

Snake ring from the Kembali collection

The wide ring was handmade at the ORSKA workshop. The jewelers cast the shape of a snake, densely covered with scales, out of brass. They then gave it the form of a triple loop to make it look more sophisticated on the finger. The jewelry was additionally gold plated, which gave it a deep and lasting color. Thanks to the detailed embellishments on both the outside and inside of the ring, its ethnic form has been given a contemporary touch.

Snake jewelry - Snake in the Kembali collection

In Hinduism it was associated with god, in Christianity with satan, and since ancient Greek times it has also been a symbol of revival of vitality and recovery. The ode, or snake, in Bali evokes positive associations. It is beyond femininity and masculinity, does not stand on the side of evil or good, like a supernatural being it bypasses all divisions, while being a magical creature that is difficult to classify. In the new Kembali collection, the snake motif can be found in both the short hibiscus necklace and dangle earrings with lotus flowers. However, the most striking will be the jewelry in which the snake is the only inspiration: gold-plated rings, bracelets, and rosewood necklaces.
