Kembali jewelry collection - The return
Kembali in Indonesian means return. The name of the collection includes not only the name of the place where the handmade jewelry was created, but also refers to designer Anna Orska's return to the island of flowers. After nearly eight years, the artist returned to Bali, but the place she once knew turned out to be completely different. Many things had changed - first of all, most of the workshops that had prospered during her first trip had disappeared. She decided to base her next collection, Kembali, on unchanging things, returning to the Balinese roots: rituals, crafts and nature.
Snake ring - Double ring from the Kembali collection
The ring was handmade at the ORSKA workshop. The jewelers cast the detailed snake scale patterns from brass. The design was given the form of a horizontal figure eight, which makes it look sophisticated when worn wrapped around two fingers. The jewelry was additionally gold-plated, giving it a deep and lasting color. With intricate embellishments on both the outside and inside of the ring, the jewelry with an ethnic form has been given a contemporary touch.
Double snake rings are made in sizes from 9 to 23. If you are not sure what size to choose, on our website in the "sizes" tab you will find detailed instructions. When deciding on a double ring, it is best to specify in the order comments the sizes of the two fingers on which it is to be worn.
Snake in the Kembali collection - Symbolism
In Christianity, the snake was identified with temptation. And while there is no shortage of positive references in European culture (for example, in Greek mythology), in Hinduism, as well as in Bali, it flourishes with many positive associations. It is for this reason that the snake is the main motif of the Kembali jewelry collection, which symbolically changes its meaning and applies it to our cultural context. The snake is one of the Animals of Power, often depicted as a cord connecting the physical body to the astral body. This mysterious reptile with shiny scales takes the form of the sign of infinity, a sacred continuum in the form of a horizontal figure eight. So you already know that the form of the double ring from the Kembali jewelry collection is not accidental. The snake motif can also be found in both the short hibiscus necklace and the dangle earrings with lotus flowers. However, the most striking will be the jewelry in which the snake is the only inspiration: necklaces or bracelets made of snake-shaped links, as well as rosewood necklaces in gold-plated brass and silver.
