Crafts of the world in the ORSKA perspective
Anna Orska regularly travels the world to find the artisanal essence of a place's culture and interpret it according to her own sensibilities. In search of inspiration, unique materials and techniques, the artist chooses destinations famous for their high-quality handicrafts, often far removed from jewelry-making. In workshops of the world with multi-generational, artisanal traditions, she seeks out masters in their fields, ready to share their knowledge and skills. So far, this has allowed the designer to draw on the craftsmanship of Peruvian weavers, Vietnamese lacquer masters, Moroccan lamp makers and Nepalese jewelers. This time the designer decided to visit Bali again. The Kembali jewelry collection owes its name to the Indonesian language, in which it means return. Miniature sculptures with the motif of island flora and fauna were made by local masters to remind us that returning to nature should become our most important ritual.
Short necklace with carved pendant in the shape of hibiscus
The necklace was made by hand. The gold-plated box chain was decorated with two bright pendants carved by Balinese masters. One of them depicts a hibiscus, the symbolic Balinese flower, in full bloom, while the other depicts a bud of the still immature flower. In addition, the hibiscus flower is decorated with a gilded figure of a snake, with finely rendered scales. The necklace is finished with a pendant with the ORSKA logo, a plate with the engraved inscription "Limited Edition" and a convenient carabiner clasp. The links allow the necklace to be fastened at two heights. The hibiscus necklace will add lightness to evening outfits, and everyday ones will gain a touch of glamour and fantasy thanks to it.
Hibiscus in the Kembali artistic jewelry collection
As part of a religious ritual, the hibiscus symbolizes purification of the soul and mind, as well as peace and balance. This flower is a Balinese symbol of courage and love. Therefore, jewelry with hibiscus will be a meaningful complement to wedding creations and a symbolic gift to loved ones. Carved hibiscus flowers hung on the ear or neck, will keep the atmosphere of paradise vacation for longer.
