Anna Orska traveled to energetic Morocco, which delighted her with its multitude of inspiring techniques and local workshops. She chose this African country as the site of her next design expedition because Morocco has been a melting pot for centuries, where different cultural influences have blended. Today this conglomerate is also clearly visible in the unique design of traditional metal lamps, one of Morocco's most distinctive and culturally recognizable products. It is impossible to pass by them indifferently. Lanterns of various shapes and sizes seduce with the precision of their handmade workmanship and intricate lace embellishments that let the light shine through, splitting it into thousands of shimmering reflections. This makes the small local workshop feel like an African desert under a starry sky.

Earrings with pendants and blue crystals

The earrings were handmade from silver in a Moroccan workshop. The masters in Marrakech cut out the intricate shape and gave it a lace-like structure. The floral pattern was taken from traditional Moroccan lamps, which, according to Islamic tradition, are richly decorated with flowers, leaves or finely intertwined vines. To emphasize the play of light and shadow, the symmetrical earrings were additionally oxidized in the ORSKA workshop, and the hanging brass elements were decorated with a sea blue stone.
