From Bali with love – a new chapter of the Kembali collection

The latest line of the Kembali collection returns to the paradise island in search of nature – this time, human nature. Instead of lush flowers and snake motifs, it features symbols of the human body: eyes and lips. In the necklaces, earrings, and pins of this series, these symbols express the connection between the artisan and the material; between what is seen and what goes unnoticed; between what is spoken and what remains unsaid. The collection is a reminder of mindfulness – the kind that allows us to perceive more. It invites us to look deeper into ourselves and the world, to recognize beauty not only with our eyes but also with our hearts. We send this collection to you like a love letter: from the island to the world, from the Balinese artisan to the person who chooses to wear it. A letter not written on paper, but carved in wood and mother-of-pearl.

Gold-plated “Eye” Pin from the Kembali Collection

This pin was handmade in the ORSKA studio using gold-plated brass, giving it a refined golden hue. Shaped like a minimalist, geometric eye with lashes, it fastens securely with a clutch, allowing you to wear it on a variety of fabrics with ease.

The eye, as a symbol, holds rich meaning and varied interpretations across cultures. Often referred to as the "mirror of the soul," it represents awareness and the ability for introspection. In literature and art, the eye is a metaphor for wisdom and knowledge. Spiritually, it’s a symbol of divine insight and providence. Art history shows us the eye has taken on different meanings: in the Renaissance and Baroque periods, it represented divine presence – often seen as the “Eye of Providence” within a triangle over church entrances or altars. In Surrealism, artists like Salvador Dalí reimagined the eye as a gateway to the psyche and the mysteries of the subconscious. In the Kembali collection, the eye becomes a symbol of humanity’s connection to nature. On Bali – where spirituality and daily life are woven together in rituals, songs, and constant interaction with the natural world – the eye can be seen as a sign of empathy and tenderness toward everything that surrounds us.

A Talisman of Mindfulness – The Subtle “Eye” Pin

The “Eye” pin can serve as a delicate talisman for those who wish to carry a daily reminder of the power of observation, empathy, and mindfulness. It encourages us to look beyond the surface. This minimalist gold-plated pin pairs well with both tailored suits and simple, classic dresses, adding a touch of subtle elegance. It can be worn in many ways – on a shirt collar, blazer lapel, scarf, or even the strap of your favorite handbag. When combined with the gold-plated earrings and necklace featuring sculpted lips, the “Eye” pin becomes part of a harmonious story that blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.
