New Stone – A Gem from the Far North

A new and exceptional stone has joined the New Stone collection. Its cool, blue hue evokes the calm, icy waters lapping at the shores of Svalbard. But what makes it truly special? It was created from repurposed marine litter collected on remoteArctic beaches: a 120-liter barrel, a piece of discarded fishing net, and a stray buoy.

The barrel was meticulously cleaned and cut into puzzle-like fragments – inspiring the organic forms of three gold-plated pins. These sculptural shapes became a symbolic reflection of what humanity leaves behind on Earth. The processed litter was cut, polished, and carefully set, transforming it into something as refined and valuable as a gemstone.

Each pin, worn near the heart, is a quiet yet powerful reminder that helplessness in the face of plastic pollution can be turned into agency – and into beauty.

Artistic Pin with Arctic Blue Stone – from the New Stone Collection

This limited-edition pin from the New Stone collection is where craftsmanship meets artistic vision and conscious material. Handcrafted from gold-plated brass, it features a soft, sculptural contour that gently embraces a synthetic stone in shades of icy blue and milky white. Every detail has been refined with meticulous care.

Its irregular, abstract shape echoes the drifting sea ice – delicate and yet strong – that floats on Arctic waters. No two stones are exactly alike. Subtle variations in tone and texture make each piece entirely unique, highlighting the personal and individual character of New Stone jewelry.

Tidying up Svalbard – A Small Pin, A Big Cause

This pin is the result of a meaningful collaboration with explorer Anita Horowska and the forScience Foundation, an organization that combines scientific research with hands-on environmental action by regularly cleaning the remote beaches of the Svalbard archipelago. Between 2019 and 2024, thanks to the efforts of the forScience team, over 8 tons of marine litter were collected from these wild shores. All profits from the sale of the pins go directly toward supporting the Foundation’s continued work in preserving the fragile ecosystems of the Arctic. Though Svalbard may be far away, its future is closely connected to our own.

Pins are one of our favorite accessories – small, yet full of character. They offer endless opportunities for creative styling. Wear one on its own for a subtle accent, or combine them in pairs or groups for greater impact. While they look timeless on a lapel or buttonhole, we encourage you to get playful – try pinning yours to a pocket flap, bag strap, cuff, or collar. They’ll quietly catch the eye – and spark conversations.
