Anna Orska x Marta Niedźwiecka: jewelry amulets with lapis lazuli

The Orini collection is the result of a collaboration between two esteemed female creators who combined an artistic vision with a profound message. The inspiration came from Jung's alchemy - the process of rebirth, in which past experiences take on a new dimension, leading to the recovery of hope and strength. At the heart of the collection is lapis lazuli - a stone of courage, inner power and acceptance of change, whose ultramarine color symbolizes the journey towards light, thus alluding to the “O Zmierzchu” podcast. The geometric, minimalist jewelry combines different jewelry techniques emphasizing the contrasts between smooth and brushed textures. The collection is more than just jewelry - it is a daily talisman, reminding us of the importance of integrating life experiences and the circularity of life.

Asymmetrical gold-plated lapis lazuli earrings from the Orini collection

Asymmetrical earrings from the Orini collection were made in our jewelry workshop from brass, which we covered with warm gold plating, giving them an elegant shine. The simple geometric shapes - from which we constructed the earrings - are inspired by the moon and its phases - from full to new moon. The handmade semicircular elements of the first and third quarters have a brushed surface. We juxtaposed it with the oval of the new moon with a smooth satin surface. Each earring is decorated with an asymmetrically set ultramarine lapis lazuli stone in the shape of a full moon. The contrast with the golden glow of the metal creates an eye-catching composition.
Each lapis lazuli is unique. No two natural stones are the same, so the stones that will adorn your earrings may differ slightly from those in the photo.

Lapis lazuli - symbolism and history

Lapis lazuli played an important role as far back as ancient Egypt. Ground lapis was once used to make blue pigment for painting, and Cleopatra used it as eyeshadow! It was also considered a stone of the gods and was believed to have a royal element in it. This is why artifacts made of lapis were found in the tombs of the pharaohs. You can read more about the long-lasting and profound symbolism of lapis lazuli on our blog.
