The inspiration for the new botanical designs added to the Plantis collection comes from the Japanese concept of mono no aware, which expresses deep emotion in the face of life’s fleeting nature. It encourages us to see more, feel more intensely, and pause to appreciate what will soon be gone. The blooming of ornamental cherry trees, called sakura, perfectly illustrates the inevitability of time passing. Cascades of soft pink flowers captivate only for a few days, after which the petals fall, leaving a tender void. Necklaces, brooches, earrings, and pins with blooming cherry blossoms capture the moment suspended between bloom and falling petals. The durability of metal and the fleeting nature of inspiration form a contrasting combination that invites the wearer to notice the beauty of spring awakening. The cherry blossoms were handcrafted in our jewelry studio. The flowers are formed from brass, painted in a soft pink shade, and assembled with tiny jewelry screws, much like origami. This technique gives the flowers a geometric, precise, and distinctive character rather than a soft, dreamy look. The stamens are made of gold-plated brass, adding lightness and brilliance to the composition. At the center of each flower sparkles a synthetic crystal. The earrings fasten with comfortable silver posts. The handmade jewelry appears light and romantic.
