Sakura in full bloom - cherry blossom jewelry from the Plantis collection
The inspiration for the new botanical designs in the Plantis collection comes from the Japanese concept of mono no aware, expressing deep emotion in the face of impermanence. It encourages seeing more, feeling more deeply, and pausing to appreciate what will soon be gone. The blooming of ornamental cherry trees, or sakura, perfectly illustrates the inevitability of time passing. Cascades of soft, pink flowers captivate for only a few days before the petals fall, leaving a tender void. Necklaces, brooches, earrings, and pins with blooming cherry blossoms capture the moment suspended between bloom and falling petals. The durability of metal and the fleeting nature of inspiration form a contrasting combination that invites noticing the beauty of spring awakening. Wearing Plantis means carrying two truths at once: durability and fragility, eternity and the fleeting moment.
Asymmetrical necklace with a blooming cherry blossom flower
Handmade in the ORSKA jewelry workshop, the necklace features a light pink cherry blossom with a synthetic crystal at its center, catching and subtly reflecting light. A finely woven gold-plated chain ends in a small gold-plated silver bead, hanging asymmetrically from the flower pendant to create a striking visual effect. The irregular arrangement of elements reflects the natural way cherry blossoms bloom on a branch.
Jewelry as a study of nature
The creation of Plantis jewelry mirrors the rhythm of nature. Just as a flower begins as a small bud, in the ORSKA workshop every piece begins with a sketch by designer Anna Orska. The form is shaped, proportions are defined, and the rhythm and direction of the design are established. The next stage mimics the maturing bud: petals are twisted with tiny jewelry screws, giving the piece the precision and geometry of Japanese origami. The final stage, or full bloom, is the addition of color.
Spring in your wardrobe with the Plantis collection
Floral brooches from the Plantis collection-from delicate forget-me-nots to larger poppies, daisies, or alpine roses-can be combined to create your own compositions reminiscent of a wild meadow. Placing several brooches together builds a personal micro-landscape on a blazer lapel, sweater, dress, shirt, or even scarf or bag. Small pins and brooches, like cherry blossoms, can form a subtle bouquet, while larger forms-such as pansies-serve as a central accent. This styling allows jewelry to tell a story of nature. Each wearer can create their own floral compositions, changing the arrangement of brooches depending on mood, season, or outfit style.
