For centuries, the Japanese have paused beneath blooming cherry trees to consciously experience something that will soon pass. From the tradition of mono no aware-a deep appreciation of the fleeting nature of beauty-emerged the latest chapter of the Plantis collection. Blooming sakura, or ornamental cherry trees, captivate intensely but very briefly. Their petals fall before we have time to grow accustomed to them, leaving a delicate, almost unnameable feeling toward the passing moment. Brooches, earrings, and necklaces from this collection preserve the awareness that the moments of blooming and fading are precious precisely because they flow and pass. These earrings were handcrafted in our jewelry studio from gold-plated brass and alpaca-a metal with a cool, silvery sheen-from which delicate cherry blossom petals were formed. At the center of each flower sits a light synthetic crystal that playfully scatters the light, giving the earrings a sense of lightness and sparkle. The earrings fasten with comfortable studs. Paired with a brooch from the same series, they create a coordinated, ready-made jewelry composition that brings spring freshness and lightness to any outfit.

Jewelry as a study of nature

The creation process of Plantis jewelry mirrors the rhythm of nature. Just as a flower begins as a small bud, in the ORSKA workshop everything starts from a sketch by designer Anna Orska. The sketch defines the shape, proportions, line rhythm, and the direction of the project. The next stage resembles the maturation of the bud. In the workshop, jewelry petals are twisted using tiny screws, giving the piece a look reminiscent of Japanese origami.
