Kembali jewelry collection - a return to the Indonesian island of flowers

After eight years, Anna Orska returned to Bali, which she visited during one of her first craft trips. When the familiar place turned out to be unfamiliar, the designer reached back to the unchanging Balinese roots: nature, crafts and rituals. The Kembali collection features hand-carved jewelry with island flora and fauna motifs, made by local masters in techniques and traditional materials that have been passed down from generation to generation. Nature appears in the partially limited-edition jewelry not coincidentally. Nature plays an important role in the ceremonies that mark the rhythm of life on the island - it is the link between the tangible and the invisible. The snake that forms the settings of the jewelry in the Kembali collection, wrapping around the fingers in the form of rings and bracelets and surrounding necklines, is a positive symbol in Balinese culture. It encourages us to discard what no longer serves us and make room for the new. Ode, as the locals call it, adorns white and black carvings of lotus, hibiscus, chrysanthemum and rose flowers. The jewelry in the Kembali collection is a reminder that returning to nature should become our most important ritual. Contact with nature is the best remedy for the stress and daily challenges of big city life.

The long earrings were made by hand. Balinese masters carved the flowers of the white chrysanthemum in an individual process of several hours. This magnificent flower in Bali is a symbol of the sun, dignity, joy and long life. From the Ubud area, the chrysanthemums made their way to the ORSKA workshop, where they were set in gold-plated brass, engraved with a snake skin motif on the inside. The round flowers were further decorated with pendants in the shape of a snake. The earrings are fastened with a post made of gold-plated silver.
