World Crafts – Guatemala Collection
For the past 10 years, designer Anna Orska has traveled the globe in search of unique craftsmanship, creating jewelry that tells the stories of handwork passed down through generations. Each collection in the World Crafts series originates from a different corner of the world. The Guatemala Collection was born in the heart of Central America, where the land breathes with the rhythm of volcanoes and knowledge of traditional crafts is passed hand to hand. Jade plays a central role here – a stone that has long symbolized harmony, protection, and strength in local culture. For the Maya, it was an amulet, a sign of balance between body and spirit, between the human world and the unseen. For ORSKA, jade inspired a jewelry collection in which colorful jade stones are set in gold-plated and silver geometric forms. The collection is complemented by bracelets and kimonos made from handwoven Guatemalan fabrics. These richly decorated fabrics record the history, beliefs, and daily lives of local women. Every color and pattern carries meaning. The Guatemala Collection bridges past and present, inviting you to add your own chapter to its story.
Round Jade Ring from the Guatemala Collection
This ring is handmade from gold-plated brass, shaped into a wide band with a satin finish. The front is adorned with a large round jade stone polished to a high shine. The natural jade stones used in the Guatemala Collection vary in shade – unique inclusions and color transitions make each ring one-of-a-kind.
The ring is available in sizes 9–23. If you are unsure of your size, the "Sizes" section provides a step-by-step guide to help you choose.
Jade – Origins of the Stones in the Guatemala Collection
Jade is sourced from the volcanic mountains of Guatemala. Before reaching our jewelry, it travels from deep within the earth to the hands of master Stanislavo, who hand-polishes each stone using traditional methods. His hands follow the stone’s structure, revealing hidden shades, textures, and inner light developed over centuries. Every strike and polish is a conversation with a material that remembers time before humans. For the Maya, jade was sacred – symbolizing harmony, protection, and strength. It was an amulet connecting people to the unseen world. Jade comes in several colors: green for harmony, black for protection and strength, white for inner peace, and pink as the stone of emotion and empathy. Each color carries its own symbolism and energy. From Stanislavo’s Guatemalan workshop, the stones travel to ORSKA’s Polish jewelry studio, where they are set in minimalist silver and gold-plated designs, creating jewelry that unites ancient tradition with contemporary design.
