The sky is not the limit
In Nepal, the blue sky, clouds, and wind become a symbol of crossing boundaries - geographical, creative, and interpersonal. They remind us that every new path begins where the familiar ends. Nepal was the first step: the first workshop outside of Poland and the first experience of creating together with craftsmen raised in a completely different tradition. It was there that the dream of creating across borders began to take shape. Returning to the same place after many years is a return to the source of this story and to the people who made that first step the beginning of something greater.
Graphite, round earrings with plant ornaments from the Nepal collection
The earrings were made of alpaca covered with silver and then oxidized, giving the pair a dark, original shade. Each pair of earrings is adorned with floral ornaments in the form of vines and leaves that wind across the metal surface. They symbolize the continuity of life, development and growth, the connection between humanity and nature, and the endless cycle of rebirth. The most important symbol of Nepal and Himalayan Buddhism is the lotus. Its leaves-also present on the earcuff-symbolize a change of perspective, a new perspective, and an opening to new directions. The earrings fasten with a comfortable silver stud.
Repussage in Nepal - a craft between heaven and earth
Repussage is a craft at which the Newars of the Kathmandu Valley are considered the most proficient in the world. The decorations are created using chisels and hammers, with which local masters strike, blow after blow, plant patterns from the inside of the metal elements, creating raised patterns on the surface of the metal elements. The next stage of the process is chiseling, which involves refining the ornament from the front, bringing out details, and deepening the lines. From the Kathmandu Valley, the decorated elements were transported to the ORSKA studio, where jewelers transformed them into bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and pierścionki.
