Two sides, full meaning - the Minakari collection
The Minakari jewelry collection was created to be worn on your own terms. Its greatest strength is the freedom of choice. Every piece has two sides, and you decide which one to show the world. By flipping the jewelry, you change its meaning: one day you make it visible, the next you keep it just for yourself. You can wear Minakari bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings as a statement or as a secret. There is no one right way - only yours. Minakri jewelry wasn't created to follow trends. It was created to follow you. Your rhythm, your mood, your story. This is jewelry that doesn't dictate style - it co-creates it. With you. Every day anew.
Richly decorated silver hoop earrings
These silver hoop earrings are richly decorated with the minakari technique on both sides. This makes them versatile and surprising – you can wear them in a variety of ways, depending on your mood or occasion. One side is covered with black and silver patterns depicting leaves and vines, symbols of eternal bonds, tradition, and continuity. In Indian ornamentation, intertwining lines represent infinity and the natural cycles of life. When turned over, the earrings reveal the other, more colorful side: a green and blue floral pattern, where green symbolizes harmony, and blue represents inner peace. The silver is plated with gold in selected areas, creating subtle contrasts. The sides of the earrings are additionally decorated with a black and gold ornament.
How are precise Minakari patterns created?
Creating jewelry using the Minakari technique is a painstaking, multi-stage process requiring surgical precision and patience – creating a single piece can take up to dozens of hours! The process begins with the precise engraving of the pattern on the silver surface – every detail, every line, must be executed with surgical precision, as it will define the contours of the future decoration. Then, mineral glazes – colored enamel – are applied to the engraved surfaces. After firing in a kiln at high temperatures, they permanently fuse with the metal. Minakari is a layered technique, meaning the colors are not applied simultaneously. Each layer of enamel requires a separate firing in the kiln. Too low a temperature will not set the enamel, and too high a temperature can damage the previous layers. Thanks to the multi-layer application of enamel, subtle color transitions are visible beneath the surface, giving the patterns depth and making the minakari "come alive" in the light. Although applying the enamel may resemble delicate coloring, it is actually extremely demanding. The combination of enamel and engraving requires almost surgical precision and complete concentration.
