In designing the Tache collection, ORSKA drew inspiration from the works of abstract painters, symbolically joining this style. Contemporary artists were expanding the boundaries of their field, moving away from realism and building up the structure of the painting with irregular spots and lines. We reached for these means of expression and moved from two-dimensional planes into three dimensions. The artistic evolution of Tache earrings, already known and loved by many, regularly expanded and developed stylistically. Initially, the collection drew mainly from non-geometric abstractionism, then began to explore geometry and increasingly emphasize color, and now it is time to play with texture. The latest designs in the collection are pastel compositions in shades of green, pink, purple and gray, with contrasting additions of gold.

Increasingly, when seeking a moment of respite, we turn to nature. The people of Bali, known as the island of spirits and flowers, have known for millennia about the extraordinary power of nature. The lush vegetation here forms the largest natural pharmacy in the world. It not only nourishes, protects and inspires, but is also an integral part of the many rituals that set the rhythm of life on the island. Local plants, fruits and flowers are the primary ingredient in the offerings made each day at home shrines. They act as a link between the earthly and the otherworldly. Placed on the altar of good spirits, they are supposed to bring harmony, balance and peace to the residents. Hand-carved jewelry from the Kembali collection in the shape of flowers: lotus, rose, chrysanthemum and hibiscus, is meant to emphasize that returning to nature should become our most important ritual.

The red hibiscus has a rich significance in Bali. The delicate but magnificent flower is sometimes a metaphor for feminine delicacy and sensitivity. As part of a religious ritual, it symbolizes purification of the soul and mind, as well as peace and balance. In Tari Baris, a traditional Balinese war dance, it is a symbol of courage used by the dancers to adorn their ears. The color red is often associated with courage, but also love and passion. In some cultures hibiscus is a gift for a loved one and a companion to many wedding ceremonies.

In Bali, the dominant religion is Hinduism, in which snakes are considered guardians of sacred sites, treasures and water sources. Snakes are symbols of wisdom, immortality, energy and higher consciousness. The snake foreshadows transformation, which is supposed to lead to improvement. It is a metaphor for the closed cycle of life and death. It carries the message to let go of what no longer fits us and make room for the new. Although in the Christian religion it is associated with temptation, in European culture it can also be a good sign, for example, the Aesculapius snake, a recognizable symbol of doctors and apothecaries, which has been a symbol of revival of vitality and recovery since ancient Greece.

The artistic snake earrings were handmade at the ORSKA studio. However, the idea for them was born while Anna Orska was still on a trip to Bali. The long, gold-plated earrings were created by combining three links: a smaller one, a larger one and a double one. The infinity-shaped link was used not by accident - in Asian culture, snakes often take the symbolic form of a sacred continuum in the form of a horizontal eight. The earrings are fastened with a post made of gold-plated silver. The gold-plated brass earrings form a boho-style cascade.

Kembali jewelry collection - ritual, craftsmanship and nature

The idea for the Kembali collection was born when designer Anna Orska returned to the Indonesian island of flowers. In creating carved jewelry, the designer reached out to what is unchanging on the island by combining craftsmanship, nature and rituals. Lush nature is omnipresent in Bali. Colorful plants adorn homes, private shrines and Balinese major public temples, combining the tangible with the magical. For the Balinese, flowers are a symbol of sincere prayer and devotion, and an important and integral part of daily rituals. They are the basis of the Canang Sari, a Balinese thanksgiving ceremony in which each member of the family places his or her basket, hand-woven from palm leaves and filled with colorful flowers and incense, in the home temple. Island flora is also one of the main motifs adorning the Kembali jewelry collection.

The earrings were hand carved in Bali by local masters. Using materials and craftsmanship that have been traditional and unchanged for centuries, they created white round components decorated with asymmetrical lotus flower carvings. Each component was crafted over several hours in an individual carving process. They then made their way to the ORSKA workshop, where they were framed in gold-plated frames, decorated on the inside with a delicate engraving of a snake skin motif (the theme of the Kembali jewelry collection). The pendants were placed on comfortable earwires, and one of the earrings was additionally decorated with the ORSKA logo.

Handcrafted by local masters, the jewelry sculptures, not coincidentally, depict local flora and fauna. Nature and rituals are ubiquitous and inseparable in Bali. Vegetation plays an important role in the ceremonies that mark the rhythm of life on the island - it is the link between the tangible and the invisible; the everyday and the magical. The jewelry in the Kembali collection is meant to remind us that returning to nature should also become our most important ritual.

The earrings were made by hand. Two white round roses were carved by Balinese masters. Each flower was created over several hours in a meticulous, individual process. The jewelry carvings were then taken to the ORSKA atelier, where they were set in gold-plated frames with a snake motif. The snake in Bali is a positive symbol. The reverse side of the earrings was further decorated with an engraving of a snake, with a small ORSKA logo in the middle. The whole piece was attached to a circular element in the shape of a snake. The posts of the earrings were made of gold-plated silver.

Kembali in Indonesian means return. The name of the collection encapsulates not only the name of the place where the handmade jewelry was created, but also refers to designer Anna Orska's return to the island of flowers. The artist visited Bali again after nearly eight years, but the once familiar place turned out not to be the same anymore. Many things had changed - first of all, most of the workshops that had prospered during her first trip had disappeared. Faced with the changes, the designer based her Kembali jewelry collection on unchanging things, returning to the Balinese roots: rituals, crafts and nature.

The earrings have the classic form of a circle, but thanks to the inspiration of Balinese symbolism, they stand out with their original surface. Jewelry with a snake - symbolism

The snake or Ode, as the Balinese call it, is a positive symbol. As a Power Animal, it is often depicted as a cord connecting the physical body to the astral body. It is closest to the ground, crawling on it with the entire surface of its abdomen, has no legs or arms, and its body is as long as a rope. During astral travel, and especially in ayahuasca experiences, snakes are very common. Ayahuasqueros claim that the spirit of the snake is the mother of ayahuasca, the source of knowledge and healing power. This mysterious reptile with shiny scales often takes the form of an infinity sign, a sacred continuum in the form of a horizontal eight. Although in the Christian religion it is identified with temptation, positive references to the snake are also present in our culture. Aesculapius, the serpent from the Greek myth of the god Asclepius, is the protector of the art of medicine and doctors. The Stone of the Future sheds light on the problem of overproduction of plastic, which too often ends up in landfills or waterways after a single use. The unique material, however, required a unique setting. ORSKA jewelers reached for cast silver, giving the handmade jewelry a fluid, irregular shape. The form evokes the waters of the seas and oceans, which too often become a dumping ground for plastic waste. Old Plastic, New Stone

Our ancestors left behind breathtaking stone carvings, wall paintings and monumental buildings. And what will we leave behind for the anthropologists of the future? In the New Stone jewelry collection, ORSKA is looking for a solution to the overproduction of disposable plastics and wants to inspire others to do the same. That is why we have created irregular necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings, some of which have been adorned with a synthetic gem called New Stone. The stone was created from recycled plastic, in collaboration with the team of enthusiasts at Boomplastic. We turned the fine shavings of this material, after heat treatment and silver setting, from an unwanted discovery by anthropologists of the future, into a jewelry heirloom that can be passed onto future generations.

The latest Julia jewelry collection is the result of a journey in which ORSKA returns to the roots of glassmaking traditions and combines them with jewelry craftsmanship. The geometric forms, hand-cut in Anna Orska's workshop, were set in brass - and for the first time - gold-plated settings.

In creating the jewelry in the Monumental collection, ORSKA once again reached for a technique unrelated to jewelry-making and adapted it to jewelry forms. This time she faced ceramics - a material that achieves the fullness of its beauty and durability by surrendering to the force of fire. This material, fragile and durable at the same time, delights with its dual nature. It has also been a field of artistic expression for thousands of years - richly decorated ceramic vessels and tiles can be found in temples, palaces and homes across the latitude and historical timeline. Ceramics have almost always encouraged artists to reinterpret, easily yielding to artistic fantasies. This time it could not resist the creative experiments of the ORSKA brand.

The long, hanging post earrings were handmade in our studio from gold-plated brass. They were created by combining a ceramic plate in a gold setting with two trapezoids, connected by fine links. The ceramic fragments used are inspired by the patterns drawn on the rocks by nature, their individual arrangement of structures, compositions of colors and inclusions. ORSKA jewelers skillfully combined opposites: forged, irregular metal surface with elements of satin finish. The studs and clasps of the earrings are made of silver.

ORSKA, known in the Polish jewelry industry for its upcycling, once again proves that there is no such craft that she cannot adapt to jewelry forms. In her collections she has already used, among others, crystal glass, old coins or fishing nets fished from the bottom of the Baltic Sea. This time, ORSKA's atelier received large-format ceramic tiles for interiors, which, due to minor imperfections, would never have made it to showrooms. Thanks to ORSKA they gained a second life, full of beauty! On the jeweler's table, each piece, like a natural mineral, was hand-polished. Ceramic stones prepared in this way were set in brass settings and combined with geometric gold elements. As a result, the whole resembles a jewelry puzzle. The individual elements combine with each other to form a cohesive whole on the body, just as the ceramic pieces blend with each other in home interiors.

Every trip through the souk (market) is a colorful wandering among ceramics, carpets, fabrics and contrasting with this colorful richness, metal lamps, which have stolen the heart of designer designer Anna Orska. Lanterns with intricate, openwork structures are one of Morocco's greatest artistic traditions. They give diffused light, casting delightful reflections on the walls. The light shines through the intricate patterns of the openwork, imitating the starry sky over a desert landscape. Anna Orska decided to translate this non-jewelry craft into the language of jewelry.

Water, fire, earth and air could not exist without each other, as they form a harmonious whole.
